  The Brandenburg Gate

My name is Markus Müller-Tenckhoff. I was born in West-Berlin in 1968. After living in London for 2 ½ years I returned to Berlin in 1991 and nothing was the same anymore, almost everything had changed and I began to explore a very new Berlin: This was the time when I started my career as a tourist guide in Berlin and Brandenburg State.

At the end of the Cold War the social and the political climate of the city changed for all of us overnight. 2.2 million citizen lived in former West Berlin. I was a part of that minority between the 17 million East Germans and the 61 million West Germans and will explain during tours and lectures the differences between the three communities, as well as what they have in common. You will also see and learn about the developments which have been completed since the reunification in 1990.

Explore with me not just a city and its sights, but also explore with me the sights of Berlin and Brandenburg State with their historical significance!

I am looking forward to seeing you in Berlin!
